Resume and Work History
A clean, honest resume that tells a man's story without hiding it. Built one-on-one, then refined through real applications.
Job training, employment placement, and a permanent housing plan for men finishing the program.
The day a man leaves Brother's Place is not the end of the work. It is the test of it. Sobriety holds when there is a paycheck on Friday, a key to a place of his own, and a community on the other side of the door. That is what reintegration is for.
Men at Brother's Place work. They contribute toward their expenses, build a work history, and develop the rhythms of responsibility that carry them into independent life. We help make sure the opportunity is there and the preparation is real. Every brother who completes the program walks out with a resume, real interview experience, an employer in Rome or Floyd County, and a written plan for permanent housing. If a man needs his GED, we help him earn it. If he needs financial literacy, we teach it. If he needs help opening a bank account, we go with him.
This is not a class. It is a coordinated effort — owned by his case manager, worked on every week of his stay — so that the day he walks out, he is not starting over. He is already moving.
Part of becoming whole is learning to carry your own weight. We walk alongside every man as he does.
Practical, hands-on preparation for the working world and the life that comes after Brother's Place.
